In February, Gemini completed its investment in Spectro-UV, a designer and manufacturer of industry leading ultraviolet (“UV”) testing and measurement products. Spectro-UV offers a comprehensive range of branded UV testing, curing, monitoring and analytic equipment, as well as related calibration services, primarily for the non-destructive testing, life sciences and forensics markets. In June, Gemini portfolio company Quality Powder Coating (“QPC”) completed the acquisition of Texas Finishing Company (“TFC”), a provider of liquid paint metal coating and finishing services. Founded in 1976, TFC primarily serves customers in the architectural and commercial markets with a broad array of applications including extrusions, panels, bleacher seating, doors, window systems and handrails. The combination of QPC and TFC creates a leading national player providing powder coating, liquid paint and sublimation finishing services.
